Overview

The President of the Lambda chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International approached me to present a topic of art history to 50 chapter members. The members were interested in deepening their knowledge of the impact of women in art. Most members possessed a basic understanding of art, but were looking for additional knowledge to further discuss art history topics.

After gathering information from the Chapter President, I created a rough outline of the course and chose two artists to cover. Then I completed my research and created the lesson objectives:

• Learners will investigate two female artists from New Jersey.

• Learners will distinguish between different art styles.

Next, I created the storyboard, rough draft of the facilitator guide, and the script. I also chose the images for the presentation.

With my research and storyboard complete, I then created the presentation in Canva. I used the images and storyboard to help complete the presentation from start to finish.

The members of Delta Kappa Gamma met virtually to participate in this presentation and discussion.

Participants were asked to complete a survey. The data from this survey will help improve not only this specific presentation, but also any presentations I design in the future.
